Psychotherapy
I work with insurance companies as an out-of network provider. At the end of the month my office will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. Many of my clients find that their benefits cover some, if not most of the treatment costs. How much is covered depends on your particular policy, including deductibles and coinsurances.
If you are unsure about your benefit coverage, contact me and I will help you determine your options.
Every one comes to therapy with different needs, so sessions will look different depending on what you're working on. In general, we'll discuss what's happening in your life now, relevant history, and any progress or patterns we're noticing along the way.
People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons — a major life transition, difficulty managing stress, struggles with anxiety, depression, or self-worth, or simply a desire to understand themselves better and grow. There's no threshold you need to hit. If something feels off, or you're ready to make changes, that's enough of a reason to start.
Therapy can be short-term, focused on a specific concern, or longer-term, for deeper personal growth. Either way, weekly sessions tend to be the most effective rhythm for building momentum.
The work doesn't stop when the session ends. You'll get the most from therapy when you're open to new perspectives and willing to apply what you're working on between sessions. Whether that's journaling, noticing patterns, or taking small steps toward your goals. The ultimate aim is to bring what you discover in session back into your life and relationships.
